Raghavendra Amachawadi, Associate Professor of Food Animal Therapeutics
College of Veterinary MedicineRaghavendra Amachawadi is an Associate Professor at K-State's Veterinary Medicine. He specializes in antimicrobial resistance in food animals. His educational background includes a BVSc from Bangalore Veterinary College, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India, and both an MS and PhD in Microbiology from Kansas State University. His research focuses on a systems approach to antimicrobial resistance in food animal agriculture, antibiotic alternatives, and antimicrobial stewardship. He also teaches courses such as Veterinary Bacteriology and Mycology, Antimicrobial Stewardship in Veterinary Medicine, and Topics in Global Veterinary Medicine [citation][4].
