Raghavendra Amachawadi is an Associate Professor at K-State's Veterinary Medicine. He specializes in antimicrobial resistance in food animals. His educational background includes a BVSc from Bangalore Veterinary College, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India, and both an MS and PhD in Microbiology from Kansas State University. His research focuses on a systems approach to antimicrobial resistance in food animal agriculture, antibiotic alternatives, and antimicrobial stewardship.
