About Us
At Coronado Animal Clinic, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary care for your pets. Established in 1977 by Dr. Bill Pearce, our clinic has been a trusted name in El Paso for over four decades. In 2001, Dr. Roger Freund took over the clinic, continuing our commitment to compassionate and professional service.
Our full-service veterinary hospital is designed to cater to the diverse needs of dogs, cats, birds, and other exotic pets. We offer a wide range of routine services, including vaccinations, microchipping, and surgical sterilizations. Our advanced surgery and diagnostic capabilities ensure that your pet receives the best possible care. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff is dedicated to helping your pet live a long and healthy life.
We understand that preventative care is the cornerstone of healthy pets. We start puppies and kittens on vaccinations at six weeks of age and booster them every three weeks until they are four months old. We also provide a full range of vaccines for cats, dogs, and ferrets, with most vaccines reliable for three years. Annual physical exams are recommended to monitor your pet's health, and we encourage heartworm prevention for all dogs and cats in our practice.
Our surgical procedures are performed with Radiosurgery, which provides better hemostasis and reduces swelling post-operatively. We perform common surgeries like spays and neuters, as well as orthopedic procedures such as cruciate injury repair and fracture repair. We also offer neurosurgery and various soft tissue surgeries, including bladder, kidney, liver, and intestinal procedures. Tumor removals and debulking are done frequently at our practice.
In addition to our surgical services, we provide radiology and ultrasound procedures for your pet. Our in-house lab includes a blood cell counter and blood chemistry analyzer, and we have two outside laboratories that assist us with more complex and thorough testing. We also conduct in-house testing for Heartworm disease, Feline Leukemia, and intestinal parasites.
We are committed to ensuring your pet's grooming experience is safe and pleasant. Our Groom Shoppe policies require that pets have current vaccinations, including rabies, distemper/parvo, canine influenza, and bordetella. A fecal test for internal parasites must also be current within the last year. Any pet entering the facility with fleas, ticks, or intestinal parasites will be treated by the veterinarian on duty to ensure our environment remains safe for all animals.
We believe communication between the client and the clinic is a vital aspect of veterinary care. Our staff will keep you updated on upcoming appointments and make follow-up contacts to check the status of your pet after surgery or illness. We are committed to providing quality care and compassionate service to ensure your pet receives the best possible care.
At Coronado Animal Clinic, your pet's health is our number one concern. We strive to make every visit to our clinic a positive experience for both you and your pet. Trust us to provide the highest quality veterinary care for your beloved companions.
