About Us
At Midwest Animal Rescue & Services (MARS), we are dedicated to providing top-notch care and support for companion animals in need. Our mission is to be the leader in innovative companion animal rescue, committed to promoting responsible pet ownership and uniting fellow rescuers in the pursuit of ending animal homelessness.
We are a foster-based rescue group, meaning we do not have a shelter facility for boarding. Instead, we rely on the support and aid of dedicated volunteers and supporters to care for our animals. Our fostered pets live in homes as family members, receiving all the love and care they would in an adoptive home until they are adopted. This unique approach allows adopters to gain greater insight into the pets' behavior and personality, making it easier to find the perfect match for new families.
Once in our care, the animals are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Special attention is provided for those animals that need additional time and medical care before going to a new home. We are committed to helping pets in need, including all breeds and ages, and strive to ensure that every animal is well-prepared for a loving home life.
Our commitment to quality care and client education has resulted in a high success rate of 99% in matching pets with their new families. We believe that by providing a nurturing environment and thorough evaluation, we can help create the best possible match for both the animal and the adopter.
