About Us
At the North Richland Hills Animal Adoption & Rescue Center, our mission is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of both people and animals in our community. We operate as a division of the City of North Richland Hills Neighborhood Services Department, dedicated to providing services with professional precision and compassion for those animals that cannot speak for themselves.
Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for animals in need, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. We strive to match these deserving animals with loving homes, where they can thrive and become cherished family members. Our staff has been recognized at both the state and national levels for their outstanding excellence in programs and performance of duties.
We offer a variety of services designed to support the well-being of both the animals and their new owners. All animals adopted from our center are surgically altered before leaving, unless determined by the shelter veterinarian to be too small, too young, or have other health considerations. This includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, microchip, city registration, core vaccinations, heartworm testing for dogs one year of age and older, deworming, and flea/tick topical treatment.
Our adoption process is designed to ensure a smooth transition for both the animal and the adopter. We provide comprehensive care packages that include all necessary vaccinations and medical treatments to ensure the health and safety of our adopted pets. Our commitment to excellence and compassion makes us a trusted resource for animal lovers in North Richland Hills and beyond.
