About Us
At the Richmond Animal League Spay & Neuter Clinic, we are dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and homelessness by providing high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter services. Our clinic prioritizes homeless pets, including those in shelters, rescue organizations, community (feral) cats, and pets from low-income households who might not otherwise be able to afford these essential services.
Our mission is to ensure that every pet has access to spay/neuter services, regardless of income. We partner with local and regional animal shelters and rescue organizations to provide these critical services, which significantly increase the likelihood of successful adoptions. Spayed or neutered pets tend to live longer, exhibit fewer troublesome behaviors, and are more adoptable.
Our veterinarians have over 30 years of combined experience in high-volume spay/neuter procedures. We offer additional vaccinations, diagnostic testing, microchip insertion and registration, and preventive flea and tick medications to ensure your pet receives comprehensive care. Our clinic is committed to keeping the cat or dog’s stress to a minimum during the check-in process, which may take some time due to the high volume of animals we serve.
We strive to make spay/neuter services accessible to everyone. For those who meet low-income requirements, our services are free. For others, we offer significantly reduced prices compared to private veterinarians. Our goal is to help those in our community who need these services the most, while also providing high-quality care for all our clients.
We believe that every pet deserves a loving home, and by providing affordable spay/neuter services, we are helping to make that a reality. If you are looking for a reliable and compassionate provider of spay/neuter services, we invite you to consider the Richmond Animal League Spay & Neuter Clinic. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of countless pets and their families.
