About Us
At Sheridan Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to providing top-notch veterinary care to the animals of McClusky and the surrounding areas. Our primary clinic, located in McClusky, ND, is a fully functional mixed animal practice that covers a broad area of veterinary medicine. We pride ourselves on our ability to care for both small and large animals, including horses, individual livestock, and small groups of cattle.
Our team of experienced veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians is committed to delivering exceptional service and compassionate care. Dr. Gerald P. Kitto, our founder, has over 20 years of experience in mixed animal practice, with a particular passion for equine medicine and reproduction. He is well-known for his expertise in equine lameness, diagnostics, and reproductive medicine. Dr. Kitto is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), and the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association (NDVMA), where he served as president in 2006.
Our team includes Dr. Nadine M. Tedford, a native North Dakotan who has been with us since 2010 and is now a partner in the business. She enjoys working with both small and large animals and is deeply involved in the local community. We also have Dr. Amanda Doll, Dr. Kara Mauch, and Dr. Taylor Storhoff, all of whom bring their unique skills and experiences to our practice.
We offer a wide range of services, including equine care such as shockwave therapy, endoscopy, certified chiropractics, and stud semen collection and evaluation. Our facilities allow us to hospitalize horses for illness or injury, and we provide emergency care services 24/7. For cattle, we offer fertility testing, lameness exams, pregnancy checking, and obstetrics services. We also provide comprehensive care for companion animals, including internal medicine work-ups, elective surgeries, orthopedic surgery, and ultrasonography.
Our commitment to excellence is evident in the efficiency and dedication of our staff. Teresa Naser, Jayme Walsh, Kady Rath, Casey Thomas, and Alicia Ranum are just a few of the licensed veterinary technicians who bring their expertise and compassion to every case. Patti Dusek, our office manager, ensures that our operations run smoothly and that our clients receive the best possible service.
At Sheridan Animal Hospital, we believe in building strong relationships with our clients and their animals. We strive to provide personalized care that meets the unique needs of each patient. Whether you have a horse, cattle, or a beloved pet, we are here to help you keep them healthy and happy. Trust us to be your trusted partner in animal care.
