About Us
At Southeast Veterinary Neurology, we are dedicated to providing superior neurological service to general practice, emergency, and specialty veterinarians. Our mission is to keep families together by giving second chances to pets with neurological diseases and offering hope to the people who love them. We are built on a promise to be there when families need us and to treat each patient as if it were our own pet.
Our team of board-certified veterinary neurologists exclusively treats conditions of the brain, spinal cord, muscles, and nerves. We are leaders in veterinary neurology, neurosurgery, and advanced imaging. Our neurologists and staff are available by appointment to you, your pet, and your primary care veterinarian whenever you need us. This ensures that your pet will never have to wait to be evaluated by an expert.
We take a thorough approach to treatment, which means getting to know you and your pet and reviewing all aspects of their health and medical history. In addition to a full physical, we perform a neurological examination to evaluate your pet’s brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes the most powerful MRI machines for animals, a multi-slice CT scanner, an ultrasonic aspirator for brain tumor removal, and tools to evaluate hearing and check for muscle and nerve disease.
Our diagnostic services include MRI, CT scans, spinal radiography, CSF analysis, and electrodiagnostic studies such as EEG, EMG, Nerve Conduction Studies, and BAER Hearing Test. Many neurological problems require MRI for definitive diagnosis, and we use the most advanced imaging modalities available to accurately diagnose our patients.
Once a diagnosis is achieved, our neurologists can tailor treatment specifically to your pet’s condition. Treatment options include medication, physical rehabilitation, and surgery. We use a Carl Zeiss neurosurgical operating microscope and/or surgical loupes for all neurosurgical procedures, ensuring better visualization and magnification compared to the naked eye. We have completed thousands of neurosurgical procedures with a success rate of over 95%.
At Southeast Veterinary Neurology, every detail of each hospital is designed with our patients and clients in mind. From our advanced diagnostics and state-of-the-art operating rooms to our comfortable patient beds and teaching library, our focus is on helping pets and their people in any way we can. We are honored to serve as an extension of your practice by managing challenging neurological cases and ensuring the highest level of care for your patients.
We are more than just pet neurologists; we are pet parents too. We truly appreciate the special bond between people and pets. When your pet is sick, there is nothing in the world you want more than to help it feel better. And when it is a neurological problem such as seizures, inability to walk, or paralysis, it can be especially challenging for your family. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate neurological care to patients, empathetic service to pet parents, and humble expertise to the veterinary communities in our Florida and Virginia locations.
Rest assured, your beloved companion is in the best possible hands. A neurologist is on premises during operating hours, and our experienced veterinary nurses provide loving medical care 24 hours a day. We are committed to helping pets and their people in any way we can, and we look forward to serving you and your furry friend.
