About Us
At the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program, Inc. (SNAP), our mission is to prevent the suffering and death of companion animals and to enrich the human-animal bond by providing excellent, accessible, and affordable spay/neuter and veterinary care. Since our founding in 1994, we have been dedicated to reducing pet homelessness and improving the well-being of animals in our community.
We are one of the largest nonprofit spay/neuter providers in Texas, performing over 30,000 spay/neuter surgeries annually. Our efforts have led to the prevention of millions of unplanned births, empowering families to provide better care for their beloved pets. We serve a combined service area of nearly nine million residents, with a significant portion living below the poverty line and facing barriers to veterinary care.
Our services are designed to be high-quality and affordable, focusing on spay/neuter procedures, vaccinations, and preventative care. We limit our practice areas to ensure that our services are accessible to those who need them most. Our primary goal is to prevent animal homelessness, suffering, and neglect resulting from overpopulation. We require that all animals over six months of age receiving our wellness services be spayed or neutered to achieve this goal.
We are committed to a positive workplace culture, collaboration, and veterinarian-driven medicine with technician-driven support. Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible care for pets and their owners. We value diverse backgrounds, competent employees, and quality performance, offering a competitive benefits package to our staff.
Through our partnership with PetSmart Charities, we have been able to provide affordable spay/neuter services to thousands of pets in the Greater Houston Area and San Antonio. This partnership has been instrumental in our mission, allowing us to offer essential health and wellness care to many pets and prevent countless unplanned litters.
At SNAP, we believe in the importance of the human-animal bond and strive to enrich this relationship by providing excellent, accessible, and affordable care. We are proud to be a valuable community resource, working tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of companion animals and their families.
