About Us
At the Springfield Animal Advocacy Foundation (SAAF), our mission is to lead a collaborative effort in Southwest Missouri to improve animal welfare, promote accountability in pet ownership, and reduce animal overpopulation. We are dedicated to providing expert care at an affordable price, making us the go-to choice for low-cost spay and neuter services in the Springfield area.
Our journey began in 2007 when a group of individuals from local animal welfare agencies came together to address the pressing issue of animal welfare in our community. This collective effort led to the establishment of the Springfield Animal Advocacy Foundation, with the dream of creating a no-kill community by 2018. We took a significant step towards this dream with the opening of our S.A.A.F. Spay Neuter Clinic in August 2010. Our clinic is Missouri’s first Humane Alliance model spay/neuter clinic, offering the highest quality services at the lowest cost.
Our staff is committed to the care and comfort of your pet. Our veterinarian has performed over 72,822 surgeries and is proud to help your pet. We understand the importance of responsible pet ownership and the role that spaying and neutering play in reducing animal overpopulation. Our clinic provides a safe and caring environment for your pets, ensuring they receive the best possible care during their surgery.
In addition to our core spay and neuter services, we offer a range of veterinary services in conjunction with your pet’s surgery. These include microchipping, parasite screening, deworming, and various vaccinations. We also provide pain medication and antibiotics by prescription only. Our goal is to make these essential services accessible to all pet owners, regardless of their financial situation.
We are not a full-service veterinary clinic, but we specialize in providing these critical services in conjunction with spay and neuter surgeries. Once your animal is seen here for spay or neuter surgery, they will receive a 24-hour pain medication injection and a small ink tattoo on the abdomen to identify that they have been fixed. Feral cats will also receive an ear tip, the universal sign of a sterilized cat.
At SAAF, we believe that every pet deserves to be healthy, happy, and cared for. We are committed to making a positive impact on our community by promoting responsible pet ownership and improving animal welfare. If you are looking for a reliable and compassionate partner for your pet’s spay and neuter needs, look no further than the Springfield Animal Advocacy Foundation. We are here to help your pet and contribute to a better future for all animals in our community.
