About Us
At Valley Veterinary Service, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of medical and surgical services to the pets of the Monongahela Valley and surrounding areas. Our commitment to excellence in veterinary care has been a cornerstone of our practice for over 60 years. Founded by Dr. Frank Bartus in 1963, our clinic has grown into a full-service small animal veterinary hospital, now led by Dr. Michelle Bartus and Dr. Peter Nelson.
Our primary goal is to provide excellent customer service with the highest quality of medical and surgical services. We believe that our business and talents are gifts from God, and we dedicate our work efforts to God’s glory and to the serving of His kingdom. This philosophy guides us in striving for excellence in every aspect of our practice, from general medical and surgical services to preventative care and client education.
We focus on preventative care to help keep your pets healthy year-round. Our comprehensive services include general medical and surgical care, preventative medicine, and advanced surgery techniques. We are proud to be a hospital member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), which sets high standards for veterinary practices and quality pet care. Our team attends continuing education programs to ensure that we can offer the most advanced veterinary care available.
At Valley Veterinary Service, we understand the importance of client education. We work closely with our clients to ensure that they have the knowledge needed to keep their pets healthy. Our staff is committed to making each visit pleasant for both you and your pet. We strive to prevent illness whenever possible and provide advanced monitoring technology to ensure the best possible care for your pet.
