Our Team
Our team is comprised of experienced and passionate veterinarians and technicians who are here to support you and your pet through every stage of their life. Dr. Thomas Maves, DVM, our founder, graduated from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. He brings over three decades of experience in veterinary medicine, including nine years of practicing emergency medicine at the Animal Emergency Clinic in Ann Arbor. Dr. Maves is joined by Dr. Karen Holmstrand, DVM, who graduated from Ohio State University in 1994 and is also a consultant for Creative Memories.
Our dedicated team includes Anne Blochwitz, one of our clinic's technicians since 1998, who has extensive experience in the veterinary field. Carrie Laorenza, our receptionist and resident artist, has been with us since 2002 and is known for her creativity and warm smile. Joann, another one of our veterinary technicians, has extensive experience in both day and emergency practices and has been with us since 2004. Kristina Schoenberg, our veterinary assistant since 2006, also runs her own pet-sitting business and is always ready to lend a helping hand.
