About Us
At West Central Ohio Veterinary Emergency Service (WCOVES), we are dedicated to providing the highest quality emergency care for your beloved dogs and cats. Founded in 2009 by a group of 12 area veterinarians, we recognized the need for improved veterinary emergency care and critical patient treatment and monitoring. Our mission is to deliver state-of-the-art, after-hours services with compassion and expertise.
We are strictly an ill or injured dog and cat hospital, specializing in emergency care for these pets. We do not provide vaccination or spay/neuter services, but we do offer a wide range of critical care services, including in-house pharmacy, diagnostics, ICU, and interventional surgery. Our advanced training, expertise, and cutting-edge technology ensure that your pet receives the best possible care when your regular veterinarian is closed.
Our commitment to the veterinarian-client-patient relationship is evident in our practice. After each visit, all medical records, including treatments given, X-rays, and lab results, are sent to your regular veterinarian for follow-up. This ensures continuity of care and helps in the long-term health of your pet.
We pride ourselves on delivering peace of mind to pet owners during emergencies. Our doctors and staff are available 6pm-8am Monday through Thursday and 24 hours on weekends and holidays. We understand that emergencies can happen at any time, and we are here to provide the attention your pet deserves, even in the middle of the night.
At WCOVES, we strive to provide supportive veterinary services that cater to the unique needs of each pet. Our goal is to ensure that your pet receives the ultimate in care and convenience, making us the trusted choice for thousands of dog and cat owners in the area. We are proud to serve over 35 area veterinary clinics and look forward to continuing our commitment to exceptional veterinary emergency care.
