About Us
Compassionate Veterinary Care Since 1985
McKean County Animal Hospital has been a trusted provider of veterinary services in Bradford, PA, for over 30 years. Our mission is to deliver compassionate and competent care to your beloved pets, treating them as members of your family. Our dedicated team is committed to acting in the best interests of your pets, ensuring they receive the highest quality healthcare possible.
Our Services
We offer a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of your pets. Our full-service clinic provides diagnostic and ancillary services, including routine health care, vaccinations, and the treatment of illnesses. We utilize state-of-the-art radiology equipment and an in-house blood chemistry machine to quickly and accurately diagnose problems and diseases. Our surgical services include complete surgical procedures, with a focus on safety and minimal risks, using isoflurane as our primary anesthetic agent.
Specialized Care
Our team is equipped to handle a variety of specialized procedures. Dr. Brad MacNeill, who graduated from the NYS School of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1974, specializes in orthopedic reconstructive surgery, including bone plating and anterior cruciate repair. We also offer pet dental services using a state-of-the-art ultrasonic cleaner and polisher for efficient removal of plaque and tartar.
Preventative Care
We strongly emphasize our wellness program, which includes dietary management, preventative blood screening, and changes in husbandry techniques to enhance the quality and quantity of life for your pets. Our dietary consultation services provide advice on adequate caloric intake, what to feed your pets, and how to maintain their well-being. We address obesity and arthritis issues through investigative diagnostic testing and appropriate dietary modifications.
Community Involvement
As a way of giving back to the community, Dr. MacNeill has been involved in the supervision and administration of veterinary medical care at the McKean County SPCA. He provides initial gratis physical exams to adoptees and subsidizes the spaying and neutering of adopted animals, giving homeless animals a second chance at a happy and healthy lifestyle.
